Princess liked how the cowl turned out, so now I'm making one for her. This is its progress through the second cable repeat. After 7 or 8 repeats, I will do the end ribbing and attached the buttons. Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T

I've been doing the Knit-Along for Vickie Howell's cowl as pictured on the cover of the Holiday issue of "Knit Simple."

I've finished the cable section and all I have to do is the final 18 rows of ribbing and I am done!

Vickie Howell of the dearly departed DIY Network show "Knitty Gritty" is leading a knit along for the cowl she modeled on the latest issue of "Knit Simple" magazine. I'm using Taupe(ish) from Vickie's Sheep(ish) line for Caron. I don't have a large cable needle (the project is on size 11 needles), so I have a double point needle for the cable work.
